Traditional Taekwondo Competition

A Fantastic day had by all at the TTA team national championships held in Glasgow and hosted by Grandmaster TK Loh the head of the Traditional Taekwondo Association. Thanks to all competitors and parents for supporting our squad. Well done to all our students for your tenacity drive and bravery! A big thanks to our coaches and parents on the day for making this a great success.

We won 5 Golds 1 Silver and 3 Bronze medals on the day. Two for patterns and seven for sparring.

We had 3 teams in the patterns pairs event and we won 2 medals. Sisters Ellis and Eva Morrison along with Luke Smith and Charlie Marr won Bronze.

For the cadet male sparring category we had 4 entries Luke Smith won the final for the under 37kg category, Charlie Marr won Bronze in the under 41kg category. Close friends Tom Nicols and Lee Skelsey met each other in the final of the under 49kg category it was a close fiight and Lee just came out on top to win Gold with Tom winning Silver.

For the female adult sparring category Eva Morrison won Gold this was her 3rd adult event winning Silver and Gold in the previous competitions.

For the male events we had 2 entries in the Junior sparring category where Arlo Cathro-Brown won the final winning Gold. Ross Duff won Gold in his category.

We also won a Best Team Spirit trophy at the event!
